Do I need two tickets for Villa d'Este and Hadrian's Villa?

Yes, unless you buy a pass: individual €15 tickets cover one villa each. The €30 VILLÆ Pass covers both villas and the Sanctuary of Hercules Victor within 72 hours of first entry.

Two single tickets cost the same as the pass, so the pass only adds value if you also visit the Sanctuary.

Hadrian's Villa opens daily at 08:30. Villa d'Este normally opens at 08:30, or at 14:00 on Mondays, with different arrangements on holiday Mondays, and closing times vary by month. Last admission is normally 90 minutes before closing at Hadrian's Villa and an hour before at Villa d'Este.

On an ordinary Monday, see Hadrian's Villa in the morning and Villa d'Este in the afternoon; check the official schedule for holiday Mondays.
