Last admission is 14:00 in December; 15:00 in January and November; 16:00 in February; 17:00 in March and October; 18:00 in April, May and September; and 19:00 in June to August. Can I visit Auschwitz-Birkenau without a guide?

Yes, but only late in the day. Independent entry with a free pass starts at 13:00 in December, 14:00 in January and November, 15:00 in February, 16:00 in March and October, and 17:00 from April to September. Earlier in the day, you can only enter with a museum educator.
